Get any polyphonic MIDI ringtone for free

by Mark on June 3, 2007

OK, so here it is. Those loving providers of polyphonic ringtones have been stripping us of our money for too long. So I’m going to show you in one very simple move how to find pretty much any midi polyphonic file, in another post I’ll tell you how to convert it into a SMAF for all of those lovely Yamaha powered cells.

So, here goes.

Open up Google and enter this search term

“index of” + “midi” +“50 cent” -html -htm -php -asp -jsp

Replace “50 cent” with your song or artist of choice.

Basically Google will run off and come back with a list of directories exposed by daft content providers stuffed full of free ringtones for you. If you end up keeping a couple why not go and buy an mp3 from your favourite online shop to support the artist. Considering a full track is usually a third of the price of a ringtone this kind of makes sense to me…

It also wouldn’t take a genius to figure out how to find truetones and wallpapers and gawd knows what else…
