OpenCoffee last night was interesting, there were a few new faces and a lot of useful skills. Now that we are pushing forward with Pushhit (sorry about the pun), it’s like my brain is spotting skills that we might need subconsciously.
I won’t mention any names, but I think that we might have an excellent, if small, pool of developers to dip into now, covering just about everything that we need in the first 3-4 months, mobile, interface, server, api, etc… The only problem is that most have full time jobs and their souls are owned by their employers…
John as usual was on good form, with his interesting idea to educate businessmen in the southwest with the knowledge of the digital world. A kind of workshop to give a level of understanding to the opportunities available to them locally. I think this is a great idea, and from my experience of angel networks and “retired” investors, who generally just stare at you blankly when you try to explain anything web based, I hope they get it together. BY the look of it we may see something in January.
I’d also like to mention that the idea of drinking alcohol instead of coffee is a truly great one, although one thing does lead to another and getting in at 3:30am after drinking Polish Vodka all night while being good for the soul, is not good for the next working day… Tom are you still alive? Wake up.
